If it isn’t documented, it didn’t happen, at least not as far as accountability is concerned. Records management is not an administrative housekeeping task. It is the infrastructure of accountability. This course covers the full records life cycle, classification and access obligations, cybersecurity basics, and disaster recovery with a consistent focus on why it matters for governance.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the role of records in government accountability and service delivery
- Apply the records life cycle from creation through to disposal or archiving
- Handle classified information according to the appropriate level requirements

- Recognise and respond to common cybersecurity threats including phishing
